The Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship program, which is open to eligible university students pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees in crop-related disciplines. You may apply by submitting a 750- to 1,000-word essay on the chosen topic (more information on the essay topic can be found on Syngenta to compete for a portion of $20,000 in available awards to help grow your future.

Horticultural

The American Floral Endowment is offering two internship opportunities, one at a commercial greenhouse or nursery production facility (Vic and Margaret Ball Internship) and the other at a retail flower shop/wholesaler/allied trade organization (Mosmiller Internship).

Smithsonian Gardens provides an exceptionally well-rounded array of experiences in its intern program thanks to the wide diversity of services it offers to the Smithsonian, the world's largest museum complex. We accept current and recently graduated undergraduate and graduate students studying horticulture, landscape architecture, museum studies, or other related fields. Selection is based on both an evaluation of the applicant's application and available positions.

  • Filoli Garden Intern and Apprenticeship Program

Filoli is one of the premier garden estates in the U.S. and elite members of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, located in the San Francisco Bay area. The internship and longer apprenticeship will provide students with mainly ornamental horticulture, turf, and plant propagation skills. Housing is generally obtained through work for rent arrangements with Filoli docents and volunteers. Many Filoli interns have gone on to be hired as private/public garden managers due to the prestige of the facility, which has also been featured in a number of Hollywood movies.

ES 391 is a requirement for the BS in Environmental Science. You must see your advisor before you make arrangements to participate in an internship. It is YOUR responsibility to register for ES 391 either during the summer session or a subsequent semester in order to get credit.

It is YOUR responsibility to register for SOIL 391. The requirements for the student, the academic advisor, and the internship host are enclosed in the document bellow. All have responsibilities for the successful completion of the internship.
